uTorrent and Port Forwarding issue

Post by Tim Burton »

I'm at a loss. I've done everything I can think of and I still can't get an open port for uTorrent.

I've upgraded to DD-WRT firmware.

Here is a picture of my settings:

Image

I'm on 192.168.1.108 as you can see.

utorrent is set to firewall port 616

I set my router to open up 192.168.1.108 port 616 as you can see.

I have UPnP set to enable.

I've worked on this all weekend. Why can't I get my port forward to work?

I now am at a situtation I need the router, but I didn't use one for years because of this issue.

My Vista firewall is off and I have no software firewall.

My service is Cox.

Two things. usually with uTorrent you don't use UPnP, so i'd disable that on the router AND in utorrent.

2nd. With DD-WRT there is a difference between Save Settings and Apply Settings. Make sure you hit Apply Settings or they won't take effect. "Save Settings" just saves them without applying.

Everything else looked pretty Kosher.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.0GHz
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
2x1gb G.Skill DDR2-800 4-4-3-5
eVGA 8800GT SC with Akimbo cooling Kit
WinXP Pro
Dell 2405fpw @1920x1200

All wrapped up in a Lian-Li PC-G70a

Went back in and saved/applied them. That seemed to do it.
