Logitech G7 and battery life ....

Post by stereo55 »

Ok , I have a 4 year old MX700 thats still going strong but Ive been looking to grab a newer G7 .

Ive read quite a few reviews and comments on the battery life not being up to par ( about 50/50 toss up about how long the batteries last ) .

If there are any G7 owners out there , please throw in a comment or two about your experiance with the G7's.

TIA :)

the mouse is ok. The battery life does sucks big time!!!! I dont use it that much and i am having to replace it once a week. I was also having a problem with the usb, in that it would not let me computer boot or it would lock it up. I have since plugged it directly into the mobo and havnt had a major problem yet.

All I can say is, they know they had a problem with the g7 and battery life and thats why they put in 2 batteries. Changing between the 2 takes like 3 seconds though.

Ya, i have owned the G7 for a while now. It does kinda suck. It has a rechargable battery. it is really easy to switch it out, like dragon said - about 2 seconds. great mouse but the battery could last longer. would have been nice to have some sort of cradle for it to put it on and charge when you are not using it. The things i really like about it and think it is well worth it - comfertable to use, "on the fly" sensitivity adjustment, and if you want to go to a lan or something, you can just take the small usb plug and the backup battery (if you want) and use that reather than the big thing with the wire and such. good mouse. i recommend.

I use the mouse for gaming and I have to replace the battery every couple of days but as the guys before me said it's pretty easy and there is a warning that pops up when you're getting low. My problem with the mouse is that it locks up every now and then and I have to unplug the usb and then replug it in. I read in the forums that if you have high traffic on your wireless that it can interfere with the mouse signal.
