video driver issues!

Post by gsykes63 »

I have a radeon HD 2400 pro AGP 512 mb video card and I am not sure what I did, because I am an avid World of Warcraft player and when I log on the game it tells me "Failed to find a suitable display device. Program exiting. I've tried everything from taking the computer back to a previous date to reloading drivers from ATI tech. If anyone have any clues on what I should do, any help would be appreciated :)

First things first...Welcome to LR!

Ok, look in Device manager and see what device shows under Display adapters. If the Radeon 2400 is listed, then I recommend that you remove / uninstall the device. Turn off the PC and boot into safe mode and run Driver Cleaner Pro, removing any and all display adapter drivers. Log back into Windows and install the latest version of the Radeon 2400 driver found HERE.

If that doesn't solve the issue, you can check WoW settings and make sure your 2400 is selected as the default video device and that the proper resolution and other display settings are selected and supported by your card.
