Build for a music recording PC

I need to build a PC for recording music. I use a Line6 Toneport UX2 as the sound card. I have several of the parts but want to go quiet SFF so was considering the following two barebones. I have had three Shuttles and one MSI SFF and loved the Shuttles, the MSI was just OK (their first attempt at competing with Shuttle). That said some think Shuttle has been dropping the ball a bit lately.

IGP is fine as this will be music recording only and no games. No experience with the case noise at all. The UX2 is USB 1.1 and acts as a stereo sound card to onboard audio will be disabled and the only drain on the PSU will be the CPU, HDD, Wireless card, and ODD. I am leaning this way due to price but am unsure of the G41 chipsets performance.

I'm kind of leaning toward this one but dunno'. is the G45 that much better in general 2d usage than the G41? Is the bigger PSU worth the added bucks, considering the use? I loved my previous Shuttles but the MSI form facto looks good. The Shuttle's I.C.E cooling is great though (maybe I answered my own question
Any inputs are welcome.

Also, once I realize how badly I suck at music this may roll over to HTPC use.
