what will the PC be used for? If for gaming, then your video card choice is pretty bad.

I think you'd be happier with a Radeon HD 5850 for $299 and then that would give you an upgrade path as a year or two you can add a second or third... With DX11 games now coming out in force I wouldn't suggest going with anything but a DX card especially when you are paying over $260 for the graphics cards. I'd also suggest an AMD 890FX series motherboard with USB 3.0 and SATA 6GBps... They come out next week...

Get the 6-core CPU, an 890FX motherboard and a Radeon HD 5850... You have a platform that was built for each other!

From Wikipedia:
In 2010 a new Phenom II hexa-core processor codenamed "Thuban" will be released. This will be a totally new die based on the hexa-core "Istanbul" Opteron processor. This will be part of AMD's new Enthusiast platform codenamed ”Leo" utilising a new Phenom II processor, a new chipset from the AMD 800 chipset series and an ATI "Cypress" GPU from the Evergreen (GPU family) GPU series.
You want to build a Leo system!!

nope it should matter...

A Radeon HD 5830 sounds tempting too as you can get one for $215 after rebate... - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6814102878

I did a review on one of these here - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1228/1/

It falls short of the Radeon HD 5850 in the games though... If you can afford it the 5850 would be the best bet still.

the power supply you currently have listed isn't modular, which means that all the cables are hard-wired to the PSU. modular power supplies like this one (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6817139011) cost a little more, but the space and time you save from using only cables you need is probably worth it.

lol thanks, i've been searching for half a year and let me tell you i learned so much from that! i'm going to be working all summer to earn 2100 hundred canadian i already have 900 left over from last summer :) (my uncle owns a been farm and that's how i get to work under age), my parents don't pay a cent for anything i own 8) its there way of saying you gota work for what you want and i guess its true :)
if your 17 or 16 you should do the same :)
Also i don't think a 500 dollar budget can get you very far... what i would suggest is to work over the summer and get a bigger budget!!!!

anyways allitle of topic again sorry for that apoptosis 8-[

C ya guys around the forums!
