As you can see in my sig, my old AM2 PC is pretty much...meh. It's using the stock aluminum fin brick and a little fan. The last time a changed the thermal paste was..what..2-3 years ago

Anyways, I was wondering if the the stock cooler from my Phenom II (you know, the copper-coloured looking one with heatpipes and such) will work/fit with my socket AM2 PC.
I thought about reapplying thermal paste for it, but since I'm at it, why don't I just change the cooler. I could than use the fan from the cpu cooler and use it to cool the HD or w/e in my AM2 PC
OR
do some "customising" and use the fan to cool my Crosshair IV Formula's NB or SB instead

What do you guys think? Is it possible to pull it off?
