Here's the short of how I interpret it.  You interact with files and such on a distant server/location.  If I upload my family vacation photo album to Imageshack that's the cloud.  If I watch a movie streamed from Netflix that's the cloud.  If I upload files to share with others to Mediafire, that's the cloud.
Like I said that's how I interpret it. Just interacting with files hosted off site.
