I'm not quite sure;;
it seems like they made some laptops and barebones and stuff

the particular one I was looking at was
Twinhead 14K Series (I think this is it)
cuz I was hoping to build my laptop (around 14 inches - $1000ish)
with turion :mrgreen:

I've heard of them.

Back in the mid 90's I worked for one of those chinese owned custom computer shops here in the midwest. Let's just say the components we used to build our computers were VERY reasonably priced. Well, you know the old saying... You get what you.... I think you know the rest.

Anyway, one day our boss came in all yappity (like he did from time to time) telling us that were were going to start selling our own line of laptop computers. Well, actually there were laptops from a company called TwinHead but with our company logo stamped on them.

The laptops were crap. Don't get me wrong, they worked. They were just cheaply made.

However, please take this information with a grain of salt. Remember, this was back in the mid 90's. This was back when Maxtor hard drives had an average life span of about 3 years. We sold those too and they had a high turn around rate back then. These days, Maxtor makes a good drive. That being said, TwinHead might not be the same company they once were.
