Which Mouse?

Post by DMB2000uk »

I need a new mouse as my left button is crapping out on me. I have a Intellimouse Explorer 4 at the minute, which if IRC is 400dpi so no mouse will seem too unresponsive to me!

I only have one requirement, and that's that it has two programmable buttons on the side.

Suggestions please :)

check out Logitech's Lineup.

Also Wired or Wireless?

Rechargeable or Batteries?

Gaming or Every Day Use?

Look here MX-1000 and higher http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ ... ,crid=2134

If its going to be wireless, then I'd perfer it to have a rechargeable battery. I'm not really fussed about a specific 'for gaming' mouse as I only do causual at the moment, and I can game with a 400dpi mouse as it is (probably why im so bad :P).

I use the Logitech MX518 for everything. Works great for general use and for gaming... and with the supplied software, I think you can reprogram the side buttons. If not with the supplied software, I think LogiGamer will allow you to remap the whole mouse. :)

I use a Logitech MX1000 Laser, wireless, rechargeable and I love it. No annoying batteries to replace, battery level meter is useful as well a an on/off switch.

Ok, so looks like its been narrowed down to a logitech :P

I'm going to get the MX1000 looking at the line up and a couple of reviews.

Thanks for all your input. :)

I already have this now, :P

Its a nice mouse, but the buttons do feel like i have to push them hard to make them click, but that's because i'm trying to push them so far back on the mouse...
