Can someone recomend a glare filter for a CRT monitor?

Post by barfly »

I need some kind of a screen for my 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB monitor in order to protect my eyes. They do start to hurt after i spend a long time at the pc, even though i followed all the instructions in the manual on how to position the monitor and myself in front of it. My monitor has a 20" viewable area, I haven't seen anything for 22" monitors, but they have them for 21" which should be good enough. Can someone recomend a good glare filter and which screen manufacturers are supposed to be good?

Tried adjusting the brightness/contrast so it doesn't glare so much?

No, i haven't tried that yet, i only had the monitor for about a week and hadnt had the chance to play with most of the settings yet. i will try it and see how that works. In case it doesn't, any glare filter suggestions?

You can google for monitor setup images (can't remember the exact term i searched for) and you will find stuff that shows shading and such to allow for optimal setup. Worked well on my 19" crt and even better on my 17" crt.
