Fun with Old Macs

Post by Sovereign »

I have a Performa 6200 (I think that's what it is) in my basement at home. It will NOT turn on! I turned it on a year and a half ago, shut it down and then it would not boot back up. Any ideas as to why? I replaced the motherboard's battery. That is all. I also scrounged 32MB RAM out of a lot of old school Macs that were being thrown out. It is thus configured like this:
PowerPC 75MHz CPU
64MB of RAM
1GB HDD (think it's IDE)
4x CD-ROM

I want to play my old Mac games again. What can I do to get this thing to work? My parents say it's getting the boot at the end of the summer if I don't fix it.

Have a good look at the mobo to make sure non of the caps on it have gone bad.

Do macs have things like CMOS jumpers?
