Why I don't repair computers

This is why I can't fix old computers...

I'm allergic to dust mites, so scratch this one off my list.

I've seen worse. My boss smokes by his computer. Well, the tar literally builds up on the fans and heatsinks. It was a disgusting sight, that I must say!!

haha...you should ask illuminati about my parents' computer! They've had it for a long time, live on a gravel road and keep the windows open because they don't have central air! We opened up the case last summer -- holy smokes!

Let's just say that we opened it up because it wouldn't always boot...we took it outside, shook it and used almost a full can of air on it, and it worked perfectly! There were dirt clods on the processor!!! I wish now I would have taken pics. I just didn't think about it at the time.

Yeah, my mom's computer is like 8 years old, she keeps it on the floor, and we have (had) a long haired cat that would shed A LOT and I opened up the case to clean it out because I could see the dust and animal hair clogging up and sticking out of the front intake!

I opened that thing up and it was one of the most terrible sights I've ever seen! Before I could even use the compressed air, I had to physically pull out the globs of hair and dust from the fans, corners of the case, heatsinks, and components!!!!

We bought a 66+ year old house with hardwood flooring. There is nowhere but my computer (with 8 fans) for that dust to go. I opened that sucker up after living there for 3 months and it was about 10 times worse than Apop's picture.
