Would the 8-pin ATX 12V power connector have anything to do with the audio card?
Or is this 8-pin connector for the CPU only?

Think of the 8-pin is CPU power just like the 6/8-pin plugs are for the GPU. The main 24 pin is for everything else.

Got it figured out guys.
The install wouldn't even start until I found a Windows 7 driver for the Soundblaster.
