I tired and the links do indeed time out...

I found the same version on another site, but you have to become a member to download them. Looks to be free, but never used the site.

CR-4802TE, Version:2.1d
Driver: fw210_02w_b.exe

Plan B is you can use this file and the link works...

It is version 2.03 for the 4801TE - the European version.
You should be fine with this.

It has instructions with it & It is the DOS version.

k thanks, i downloaded it now,but now can someone help me install it?? it doesnt come with any instructions...

um, this is actually weird, it says that winzip is not found on my computer and i do have winzip. i even tried downloading the latest winzip version but it still doesnt work. heeelp me! this **** is getting on my nerves!! :rolleyes:

I just tried all three links i posted for you, and all three are fine. Use them to download the firmware update for your drive.
On a seperate note, have you downloaded and installed the correct chipset drivers for your motherboard?

um, i didnt make any changes to my mother board. But the link he sent me isnt for my burner. The one he sent me is for 4801te, but i need the firm ware for 4802te.Can someone send me the link for the 4802te firmware????

i saw that god damn firmware download on the page a million times. The problem is that i cant click it so i need someone to give a me a link to the direct friggin download

Buck..if those links arent workin..try usin google or somethin...there's more than one site that may offer that firmware driver..just a thought..worked for me a few times..

i tried using google and it didnt help. I tried every single result from the search and everything was crap. that mitsumi site is garbage, they really need to fix it. I have no clue what to do now and im definitly not buying a new burner

I got an email back from Mitsumi with the firmware. I sent an email with it attached to you, let me know that you got it and that it works...if it doesn't we'll try something else.

Buck, you always need to download the boards drivers. What motherboard is it?

acutally, i just called tech support and they said that its not supported by windows xp so thats why its not working... thanks for the help tho
