CPU:RAM Ratios

does it matter what ratio you set, as long as you stay close to factory specs, or what the part can handle, i know it is usually 1:1, but my RAM is made for 200MHz and my CPU was made for 166, would changing the ratio be a good idea? or should i leave it 1:1 and just OC a little(right now i OC'd to 177MHz with 1:1 and it has a 12.5 multiplier)(not a crazy OC, but its only an XP)

to be honest give it a try... all chipsets, motherboards, and processors act a bit different to various settings... Try a couple settins and benchmark each one with SiSoftware Sandra XI SP3 and see if memory bandwidth goes up or down! The built in memory bandwidth test is quick and easy and you'll know for certain what is best for your rig/memory.
