Simple Question how do you get it off when it comes to replacing??
I use to use a paper towel very carefully but it doesn't work on Graphics cards.

How?

ArctiClean is the bomb, but you can also use Isopropyl alcohol if you have some around the house

I use the arctic cleaning stuff - i got some cleaner and sanitizer or something like that... i have used a paper towel but that can leave some fibers. i have also used a coffee filter - it worked fine.

Tissue with Isopropyl Alcohol (yes I scrolled to see that spelling :p )

What re-use a CPU? Aren't they disposable ;)
Nah, I use Arctic Cleaner, you can't beat it....it only takes seconds and it lasts for a good while
(I'm on my second bottle after ~2yrs or so and I've gone through lots of tubes of AS5 since)

I use Akasa TIM remover and it works fine. It is citrus based which Arctic moans that you shouldn't use, but I haven't seen any problems.

Taken from the Artic Silver Site on applying http://www.arcticsilver.com/pdf/appinst ... e_wcap.pdf
To optimally clean the CPU heatspreader surface use ArctiClean steps 1 and 2 or adequately by using a low residual solvent (high-purity isopropyl alcohol) and a LINT FREE cloth (a lens cleaning cloth or a coffee filter).
