Best processor on the market

As the headline says which processor is the best on the market right now? which AMD and Intel are the best for gaming and between those which is better performance wise? the AMD or Intel

IMO its got to be Intel right now, but that may change shortly when the new AMD's come out. Only time will tell though.

Intel for the time being... take your pic on a CPU if you are an overclocker. One core 2 processor isn't better than the rest as it's the same core with a different multiplier and so on...

i used to be an AMD fan, but when the Intel core duo came out. i gave it a try, now all my systems are Intel E6600's
