guys just tell me which is the best in regard to power consumption and heating issues and cooling?
which is the best for gaming?
ati radeon hd2600xt or
nvidia geforce 8600gt

Why is heat and power consumption an issue. The PCIe slot supplies both cards with the necessary voltage. I don't know why temps are important either.
To answer the question everything I've seen/read indicates the 8600GT is a better card for gaming. I also think it runs cooler and consumes less power.
