Is it jsut me or do are all parts CPU GPU ram Etc cheaper over in america??

E.g
Aussie:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 $305 AUD http://www.nintek.com.au/x/scripts/prod ... oduct=7133

Same core But American. $254.415 AUD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115003

XFX 8800GTS 580mhz 320mb $545.00 AUD http://www.nintek.com.au/x/scripts/prod ... duct=11779

Same GPU but american $331.849 AUD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150173

going by the exchange rate of 1 AUD = 0.903996 USD (all of the things are done with this current AUD)

This aint cool :ANAL: :ANAL: :ANAL: And when the Australian dollar goes down to the usual 80cents the prices are going to go even higher!!

Oh and just asking how much do you guys pay for 1 Litre of standard fuel ('gas') (unleaded)

$2.80 / gallon for 89 octane here in PA atm. You're right, prices seem higher outside of the States.

well in australian going by 77cents per litre you are paying 85.1774 AUD going by 1 AUD = 0.903996 USD we are currently paying at least $1.25 AUD
which means 1.12999 USD and to convert it to gallons you times it by 3.78 so you get, this is in american dollars and if we were going to buy in Gallons, $4.2713622 USD which is jsut about twice as much as you are paying. oh yea standard Unleaded petrol 91 octane (about $1.20-30AUD) , Premium 95 ocatane (about $1.25-35 AUD) , Bp (petrol company) Ultimate is 98octane (about $1.35-50 AUD)
How much is your LPG? (natural gas) Australian it is 50-60 cents per litre.

And you where complaining about your Fuel prices!!!

I just came back from the states and I couldn't believe the prices for everything!
Even for just Levis, I got two pairs for $50, in Ireland we would pay 50euro for one pair
Even beer is very cheap, it's not fair.

No, Newegg won't even ship up to Canada. Even if they did, you'd get hit with customs on computer parts, when I won the free evga motherboard/pentium D cpu on this site, I had to pay $75 in customs fees.

Keep in mind that people on average make more money in Ireland than in the US, it still works out that people in Ireland are able to purhase more products on average.

Less expensive than New York. Regardless, It's an average, check the stats, most measures estimate Ireland having a higher PPP per capita than the US.

plus you have to take into account that people in the US like to drive a lot more than most countries so we freak out if our gas goes up at all. Also we have a large buying power on the market rivaled by very few countries or leagues of countries. That makes up for a lot of the commodity prices differences.

I got gas the other night for $2.51/gallon - most places the area have it for $2.53 - $2.65 per gallon. I'm located in eastern Kansas, near Kansas City.
