Max Integrity for signal: 250km/h (155 miles per hour!)


I just think it is cool that 802.20 allows users to be on broadband in trains, subways and automobiles doing up to 155mph!

802.16e will add mobility in the 2 to 6 GHz licensed bands, while 802.20 aims for operation in licensed bands below 3.5GHz. The sub 3.5GHz range is already used and will be better World wide... think of the new growing markets... ASIA.

One thing to keep in mind is that 802.16e is due mid-2005, while 802.20 is still in early stages of design!

I want WiMax bad. It drives me nuts how expensive broadband is in Nashville, Cable is $60 plus taxes, DSL is $35 + phone line @ $35 + tax, ISDN is $50 + phone line @ $35. Basically there is no way to get broadband for any reasonable price. If WiMAX comes out in the $30-50 range I'm singing up.
