havent been successful in finding this information anywhere else so where better to ask?

im using XP Pro, SP.2 and Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and here's my issue:

while using XP over the last few months, i've added a LOT of music into iTunes, about 40Gigs worth of mp3's from my "CD bible collection" as my friends call it.
i only have 1 harddrive right now, and i can't duplicate the iTunes music library folder (lack of space, and honestly, who'd want to have a complete reproduction of their music collection on the same pc?)
what i need to do is get the iTunes on Vista to recognize my existing library so i can listen to my music while i'm on Vista, and rip them to the same location on it too.

making sense to you? i've tried setting the preferences for the library to the location in XP, but it had no effect.
i'm perplexed. :-k

Can you see the files in XP partion in vista at all? How is your partioning scheme? The only way I can think of getting this to work is three partions, one for XP, one for Vista and one for Music.
