I have a Lanparty SLI-D. I needed to reformat. So that is what I am attempting to do. I unplugged all of my hard drives from my computer, except the 2 I want in RAID. I then put in the USB flash drive with the NFRAID drivers, the LED on the USB drive starts to flash, but Vista never sees the drive.
So I tried restarting it and keeping the drive in the entire time. Same thing.
So I reboot a third time and this time I check the boot order. The BIOS sees the flash drive (it is listed as boot option 3, with the DVD-R/W being first and the HDD being second.
It literally says:
Benq DVD-R/W
HDD
Kingston 1 Gig Data Traveler 2 USB
Why can't VIsta see the USB drive, but the MB can? My mouse has no issues running, nor does my keyboard, only the USB drive. I am at a loss for what to do to correct this issue so I can finally reformat and use my system again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
AMD 3800+ X2
DFI Lanparty SLI-D
7800 GT
RAID 0
Wanting to install Vista x64 Ultimate.

Re: Reformatting Vista issue (USB Flash Drive)
Find a floppy drive?
Is there only the RAID drivers on there? might be an idea to try just those on.
Is the USB just not recognised in your current install, or during the reformat and install too? It could be in your current install that there is a conflict in drive letter naming and so it doesnt show up. Go on vista's equivilent of the computer drive management thing, and see if the drive is there at all.
If not, try burning your drivers to a CD to load them from there.

I would do what Dan suggests...burn the drivers to a disc. Sorry I'm no help with Vista.

Re: Reformatting Vista issue (USB Flash Drive)
Well, the issue is that Vista 64 needs newer drivers than on the disk that came with the MB. DFI doesn't have the 64 bit drivers and I can't figure out where to get them, because you have to get a modded drive to work with SATA since nVidia has only PATA arrays in the Nforce4 chip's driver.
Hopefully nForceHQ can get me them. I'm pretty pissed at the lack of support.

Ok, I got it working. Finally. nforceHQ had some modified drivers that worked.
