Standby

Post by Merlin »

Here is a very basic, I should know , question.....I set the power management on my PC to go on standby after 1 hour of idle. I don't know which button or combo of buttons wakes it up. Is there a problem with my PC or am I just a simple idiot??? enter or mouse click does not work.

In mouse properties...check the box that says "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby".

There may also be some wake-up settings in the bios.

If those don't help, then begin removing devices until you find the bad driver. Drivers are the primary cause for hibernation and standby issues.
