Sorry dude, but that is word just trying to correct as best it can a bad sentence.
You should loose the error, and make more sense if you get rid of the " 's " off of "self".
I can see why you would put an s there, as I too write like I would speak, but I often find the things I say, aren't actually the way they should be written, if that makes sense.

The irony is that Word actually suggested the ' in the Selfs...I had it without the '...

it would be either self's or selves, i don't think selfs would be a word.
