I just don't understand, I'm getting 20fps in crysis @ 1440x900 on all med settings with 0aa/ latest nvid drivers. Is there something I'm missing here?

Yeah, crysis was built for supercomputers, but they probably shouldn't be quite that low, but i wouldn't know, i haven't really played it.

Try putting your nVidia Control Panel "worldwide" 3d setting down a bit, or on "appplication controlled", not helping? Just turn the in-game settings down, and that's all I got.

I had to mess with a bunch of the settings to get it running well on my machine. 1680x1050, no AA, Texture detail high, Sound particle and water detail low, everything else on medium and I'm getting around 50+ and it still looks ok.

I was having trouble with crysis in the begginning because I had some settings forced. I turned them to app control and it fixed everything.

keep in mind about the game though. It is made to run on high/medium on the best computers out today. Very few computers now are going to be able to max it out. It is kinda like Oblivion when it came out. Nobody could max it then, but now you can.

I'm getting 35 - 40 fps @ 1024x768 on High settings, with the "On the cheap" very high settings in XP.
"On the cheap" settings found here ... http://www.tweakguides.com/Crysis_13.html
The same settings in Vista do 20 - 25 fps.

Any higher on the resolution and it goes down hill quickly in either OS.
