Anyone know where the BIOS reset switch is on nvidia nforce2

Post by tekgek »

Hi, all.

A late happy thanksgiving to everyone. For me, it was the best thanksgiving ever. Unfortunately, it was tarnished by a small problem. I have a computer that I do experiments on so that keep the one in my signature stable. On this machine that I experiment on, I changed a bios setting, and now, when I reboot I get nothing, just a beeping. The monitor doesn't come on. So now, I would like to know of where the reset button os on the nforce 2 motherboard that easily fove years old. It is not worth buying any more parts for this machine, so if I can;t figure this out, I will chuck the guts of the machine and use the case to replace my hp case (I bought an hp on the cheap and now I am trying to turn it into a beast. Don't even have a new case for it. LOL  ).

the CMOS jumpers are usually the closest ones to the battery,

is that a NF2-AED or the like type board?, i had an XFX one that i destroyed  (shot repeatedly with bbgun, appearantly it is easier to shoot thru a chipset than the board) because nothing worked on it

Thanks. Worked perfectly. I had the machine back up in under 2 minutes. Glad someone is still the old faithful nforce2. :)
