My benching setup - What a mess!

Post by kenc51 »

The pic is bad quality for some reason, it happened after I resized it, but you get the message

This is my current bench setup. I stripped down the rig earlier this week.
This should be a PSA for how NOT to do it ;)

I've seen worse, it was called the back of my desk. All you need is to dust that beast and use a lot of zip ties/cable ties.

If you are talking about the fan on his 8800GTS, isnt that the one he bought just couple of weeks back? So its probably just the fan colour/bad pic making it look dusty :ANAL:

Well if you had a torture bench like LR does, then I'm sure that you could tidy the cables easier :P

Dan
The torture rack was from pastorjay's mobo review, hence the LR watermark

Hey don't feel bad up til last month I had my work bench rig hanging on the wall on a piece of plywood, covered in a plexi shroud. Local tech school bought it and I switched to a full tower setup.

Seems like every time I get all the cables strapped in just right a new part comes through the door and I gotta re-strap.

It's been swallowed by the mess of wires, and the low quality pic makes it ahrd to pick out details :ANAL:

it must be playing hide and seek with the camera :) , i cant see it at all, i can barely make out the HDD

is that setup like, half in a tower and half on the floor?? because it looks like i can see the expansion slots in the upper left corner of the pic
