spontanious restart

I am having an issues. My computer wont start right.
When I power on the power supply, the power button panel beeps and beeps with the lights flashing.
Then after awhile it stops with the lights as they should be.

When I try to power on from the front panel, it will cycle on and off, flashing up the asus screen and then off.

The only sound out of the MB speaker is a long, short, short, short beeps.

Any help will be great.

try clearing the cmos. this is usually done by simply moving a jumper from one position from another. consult your mobo manual for more info though

something must be failing, or is not connected properly, try unplugging and plugging back in everything, and if it still does it, try each part in another PC(provided that it is compatible)

also, try to check the temps(see if something is unusually HOT, on my computer i can tell if the heatsinks to most every part is warmer than normal)

IT was a faulty connection in the case. I replace the case and all is good to go now.

I guess so. The problem was the case power buttons connector to the MB was looser than a 50 cent hooker at the world cup.
