Paypal Doubt!

I have a bank account correctly linked to my Paypal account, no issues. I recently received a payment, and I told Paypal (as in clicked the options) to transfer the sum to my bank account. All went good, and I read that it will take 3 to 4 days. Fine. What bothers me is what the screenshot below shows.

Take a look at the upper transaction (Transfer - To). It essentially says it will transfer -7614.74 INR to my account. That in effect means that it will DEDUCT some money from my account, doesn't it? There's a negative sign there!! I wonder what the crap is going on. Has anybody here successfully transferred money from their Paypal account into their bank account? That negative sign is scaring the daylights out of me! [-o<

Just had a quick check at my paypal history, and it shows that whenever money goes out of your paypla account, it is registered with a "-".

So the "-" is just money coming out from your paypal account, and it will go into your bank just fine.

Hooray!

And Dan, I had two more small queries:

1. In the screenshot, there are two buttons: File selected items, File All. What do they do? Archive the latest transactions?

2. I've heard that PayPal freezes the accounts sometimes (I don't know the reasons). But my concern is different. My PayPal account is linked to my Bank account. Now, let's say my PayPal account is frozen. Then will that freeze up, or affect my bank account by any chance? I think it's safe to assume that PayPal can't touch my bank account, but I just wanted to confirm.

I think the file buttons just archive the transaction(s). Never used them myself. As for the other, your Paypal account and bank accounts are totally separate entities and one cannot control the other. It's no different than if you pay your CC using a bank e-payment. The bank can't close or suspend your CC account and vice versa. They can only pass funds back and forth.
