haha, I was just reading that before I popped over here...instructables is a great site, I'm on there all the time

Re: How to fix a stuck pixel
It looks a bit risky, but I might give it a go. I like the line at the end:
"And as I said before, this will obviously only work on LCD monitors."

Re: How to fix a stuck pixel
omg, thank you thank you thank you...I hope this works...I'm going to try it later.
I have this one pixel on the bottom of my monitor that doesn't get in the way of gaming, but it catches your eye now and then. Hopefully this will work.

Not sure if this will even work as I tried everything for this one dead pixel I have and nada.
There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of animals Chuck Norris allows to live.

Tried the color flashing and the pressure ones before, haven't tried the tapping.
From my experiences, you're more likely to destroy it than fix it so if it doesn't bother you, don't bother it.

Plz, have mercy, I know nothing about (modern) computing!!!
Re: How to fix a stuck pixel
I've had success both using a pencil eraser to gently massage the pixel and running that java applet to flash the colors. Just note that anything other than the java applet may cause permanent (and worse!) damage to your screen.
