I do a fair share of printing on DVD's and am sick of paying more for the media.
Can anyone suggest a spray paint to use on standard DVD to make them inkjet printable?
So far I have had the most lock with krylon H2O primer, but its not good enough.

guess I'm cheap, I use a Sharpie.
Why not use the sticker type labels? put them on the cd then print on that.

Re: Inkjet printable DVD-R
Well the whole point of printing on the DVD is to not use the sticker labels.
Re: Inkjet printable DVD-R
i used sticker labels before and had one come off inside the reader
Never used em since.
I dont have a printer capable of printing on dvd/cd media so I will be of no help
Mike
I have lightscribe but never bothered with that either - I am cheap, no reason to pay more for lightscribe media or printable media in my book - sharpies rule ;)

I've never had one come off. I use the memorex labels when I want to use one. Most the time I just write on it with a sharpie.
I would be afraid of getting paint on the under side of the DVD redering it useless. Worse the paint chipping/flaking off in a player.

They actually have printable cds and dvds a little more expensive until you consider having to replace dvd burners from paint chips or burning the motor out from unbalancing the disk.

So far I've had no problem with any flaking. A few have been out of balance. I will let you know if I find a solution.
