I've been searching for a good external hard drive, and I found this one: SimpleTech 1TB External Hard Drive (
http://www.buxr.com/deal/simpletech-1tb ... -drive_892) for only $99.99... Does anyone have any experience with this one?
Thanks in advance,
Simon

I'm guessing you found the additional coupon to make this about $100 out the door. reports on the internet say that it has 2x 500gb western digital drives in it. I also hear that some stores aren't honoring the additional coupon, while some still are. For $100, i would probably give it a shot if it were me.

I read taht a lot of the OM stores are not honering it also since the device is already on sale

Hell of a deal, even just to rip the 2 500gb drives out of it! I paid $100 each for my 500's

SIMPLETECH 1TB Duo Pro Hard Drive
SAVE $150
  $249.99
(Reg. $399.99)
thru Feb 23

It says it is $399.99 and then you get the $150 off of it - some stores it rings up as $249.99, then they take the $150 coupon off of that yet. They arent supposed to do that, but if you can get it for that price DONT WAIT!!

I bought a SimpleTech 1Tb Duo Pro external drive several months ago. It has had very light use as yet. It gave up the ghost with no warning about two weeks ago. I bought the brand because of reviews extolling the company's tech support ("unlimited"). Hah. I cannot even get them to respond. My advice? Stick with Western Digital. My WD drives are still doing great after years of use.
