Some little criticisms...

1. A Green Motherboard????

2. Someone needs to resolve how the optical drives look in these clear cases. Is it only me who sees them as a jarring note?

Cadaveca I was not hurt by your comments. I was just answering them. I value all criticism as I hope it makes for a better machine next time we build one.

1) The green Mobo is because it is a Bullhead mobo by ATI. They only come in green and because this machine was ordered by ATI we used that Mobo. Also this is one of the best overclocking A64 mobos on the market. Some guys are getting close to 300 FSB with them. Stock they are easy 250 FSB. (For looks I preffer a black PCB as they look great and show off the etching better.)

2) Optical drives. I agree that the optical drives stick out in a clear case. On the last demo system we polished the drive to make it look better. On this one I did not have the time. Also we plan on selling these systems. If we alter the drive with paint or polish then the warranty it voided.

As for listing on our site. Iniatially the case will only be available in a full system. We will have listings on them hopefully today. (The site is going through a major overhaul as it really needs it.)

Where are you located in Indiana? Is it just a web based store or is there are physical store as well?

All American Computer is based in Terre Haute, Indiana. He does indeed have a store front along with the site.

In other news got this comment from ATI today in my inbox:

ATI announced this morning that it will be sponsoring the Ultimate LAN at the Texas Gaming Festival in Dallas this weekend. ATI will also be offering a sneak peak at the world's first 512MB gaming card. Attendees will get the opportunity to preview the world's first 512MB gaming card and one lucky gamer will even get to take one home.

Chances are that card is in the pictured system we have in this thread! :)

A8N seems like a nice board. Don't know about the Fatality edition. Seems like a bunch of money for a red PCB and a few red LEDs.

We also will be offering the Asus A8N and the Asus A8V-E.

I have been updating the site like a madman. So much to update.

There will be tons of new stuff up there shortly.

We have 3 LiquidXS SKU's up on the main page. One ATI, One NV and One SLI with dual gpu waterblocks.

Just go to http://www.aacdirect.com and play

Sorry about killing the SKU....Changed the item a little and it killed the link.

You have to remove the cart info for links. For some reason they expire to fast otherwise.

This is the case he is talking about. It is a C3 midtower. It is made in the same factory as the LXS case. Same quality. They are what we used to build the Posiedon gaming system with. You can water cool in them but you loose tons of space and the heat is dumped into the case. Also they are fragile when all your components are installed. I would not recommending shipping one UPS or FedEX.

I personally have this case. It is beautiful. I am moving to a LXS when I get the chance. I most likly will be selling my C3. The Black Ice is one of the coolest colors but the black acrylic is very expensive.

I will take some pics of my personal system if you guys want to see it.

As for now the LXS case is only going to be available in a full system. at this time.

The C3 cases are available are are very much worth the cost if an acrylic is your thing.

BTW Here is the link to the C3 Fulltowers.

I made a new thread in our cases section with more info on the case. Feel free to rant/post/drool away about the case on that thread!
