Re: Post Your Rig!
time to dig this thread up. heres pics of the rig i got mainly through LR (thanks) that is being used as an HTPC (im too lazy to copy post only the images so this is a direct copy paste from my rig's thread)
damn thats a sexy looking card (except for the frog of course )
thats the asus tuner, one ntsc tuner and one ATSC/ClearQAM tuner. havent figured out how to get it to take digital from the wall, but havent tried to hard either i love it cause its pcie, has a hardware based mpeg-2 decoder (more cpu availible for folding ) and came with a sweet remote
silica in a sealed moisture resistant bag. wow, all i have to say is
with my luck, i should have seen it coming and to ECS: leaving an expansion slot empty above the graphics card qualifies as a dick move. But thanks for supporting folding! it was a free board so i can hardly complain
finished build (sans 1 stick of ram as i know from prior experiance that vista doesnt like 4gigs of ram without a hotfix first )
thats my desk around 4.5-5k worth of computers and related paraphanelia there and dont get any ideas, its booby-traped 100 brownie points to anyone who can name the jet model on top of the 300
Gehto-mods FTW! as you can see in the pic, one of the fan blades got broke off by a stray finger getting in there it still worked, but it started to make the whole case vibrate like crazy. my solution? an office-space style stapler (cause of the rubber base) and an ankle weight it completely silenced the vibration
and now for some higher res copyies of the before and after of the mods:
thats it for now, but my birthday is coming up and im hoping for some water cooling parts (cough cough petras toped DDC mcw30 ) and if i get what i want then ill probably be voltmodding the 8800gt

They've swapped the silica for little sweets now, so you should just go ahead, tear that open and eat a few.silica in a sealed moisture resistant bag. wow, all i have to say is

Hard to say what it is.martini161 wrote:100 brownie points to anyone who can name the jet model on top of the 300
It isn't a F-15 , might be a Super Hornet or the F-35 (as already mentioned by camaroguy )

Re: Post Your Rig!
who's next to post their rig? Need to keep the thread going. I'm thinking of tearing down the gamer tomorrow to start the mods on it, but I can't stand to take the Folding hit. Guess I'll weigh the options tonight. Pics and worklog of the rebuild coming if I decide to do it.

As soon as I've built in my christmas present, thermaltake watercooling , I'll be sure to post some new pics.
Re: Post Your Rig!
If you are just modding the case you could leave all the parts together and keep folding. Just take them out of the case!DaIceMan wrote:who's next to post their rig? Need to keep the thread going. Re: Post Your Rig!
Wow Kappage, how does your CPU heatsink get any air?
Also, is there a benefit to connecting intake fans like that? It looks like it would slow down the air intake.

Re: Post Your Rig!
Its been like this for months.. I had a friend come round and say can i test some stuff in your PC i tihnk somehting is dead. So I did and i ran outta time to put it back together at the time and i have been too lazy to put it back.
Yes the fans seem to be pulling alot more air. And my cpu Idle temp sits around 28oC. I also ran out of drive bays so i jsut decided the hard drive would be fine there for now...

Re: Post Your Rig!
It's a good start, but there's still lots that could be done to it though ;)
