this is what I am getting at work, have to check my home as my FTP site doesnt seem to be as fast I would like.

50Mbit down / 5Mbit up

believe it or not, this is too fast!

I mostly need fast broadband for downloads, but I start them remotely from either work or my phone.
I can get a TV episode down in ~5mins or a movie within 15mins.
Yet it takes me 45mins to get home from work

I've even had tv shows download and finish before ad break is done.

I run Arch LInux on my systems, which is a "rolling release". This means every day I get updates, but usually only a few megs; with a new kernel being one exception.
If I was running windows, then yeah the extra speed could help.

btw, "Patch Tuesday" for Microsoft users is coming. They fininally fixed the vulnerability "Duqu" exposed

Comcast needs to up their upload speeds lol. That's embarrassing for a land line to be beat by a phone!
