You should have some decent upgrade paths with the Foxconn 915A01-P-8KS2 Intel 915P Express Socket 775 motherboard as it's an LGA775 motherboard and it has a sinlge PCI Express x16 slot.

Are you upgrading for gaming performance or a boost in CPU performance? If gaming you might want to consider a GeForce 8 or 9 series graphics card! You'll see a night and day gaming difference when moving from a GeForce 6600 to a GeForce 9600 for example.

He is saying that you could upgrade to a decent CPU with your motherboard, and you could get a really good videocard as well.

I suggest a geforce 8800gt, they are rather in-expensive for the amount of power you get.

You are actually rather limited with processor choice, as although the motherboard's processor socket is still the same (exact same size and number of pins etc), the new LGA775 processors need better power regulation than what the old motherboards with socket 775 could support.

So you are limited to getting a faster pentium 4 processor that has a 800Mhz FSB.

It would be better if you could pick up a budget board that supports core2duo processors and get one of those as well. Even the cheaper Pentium Dual core E2XXX series of processors will be faster than your current P4.

Not sure what your upgrade budget or schedule is like but I'll go out on a limb and agree with Dan on this one.

For less than $300 you could get a decent P35 mobo and an E8400 and pickup the GPU later. If you can spring a little extra 169.00 will get you an 8800GT and you'll have a killer little gaming rig.
