I'm reminded of when I first got into high end car audio back in the 80s. I put 2 10"s in the back of my Mustang SVO along with a RF Punch 45 and said "That's it, I'm happy." Three years (and much credit card interest) later, I was driving an S10 Blazer dropped 6" in front and 5" in back with no back seat and 9 Punch Pro 15" subs and 2 Power 1000 amps (the old coffee table sized ones with 2 4 ga power and 4 4 ga grounds); a 150 amp Phoenix Gold alternator and 6 auxiliary batteries. Overclocking is addictive that way.

I can't believe the difference it made in the performance. I did not ever really notice how slow the computers at work are until I tweaked mine at home. Now I find myself talking to my work PC begging it to hurry the h*ll up so I can get going. I was copying a disk this morning and was pitching a temper tantrum because I couldn't open my email until it was done.

I guess I'm officially hooked.

It's definitely great fun and it's definitely a great money hole but that's part of why it's so fun. I hate using other people's computer's because they are usually so slow either due to old hardware or a clogged up computer (fragmentation+messy registry+too many programs at boot+maybe a virus or two=one SLOW computer)
