Well today i was asked to get this very basic Creative soundblaster card and they want it to work with vista, All they bought was the card no box nothing else with it all it has written on it is Creative soundBlaster and since this one here http://support.creative.com/Products/Pr ... =Audigy+SE looks generally the same i am thinkin these drivers will work. That is if Creative have decided to actually start doing some work after that guy :-k (cant remember name) released some drivers and then they tried to sue him Etc etc

Any ideas? Thoughts or comments

Edit**
had to laught at this when i read this on creatives website
Creative continuescontinues our commitment to providing superior product support with our driver development plan for Microsoft Windows Vista.

It cant be right how can they mean continue for a good while none of there vista drivers worked until some random guy created his own drivers that worked fine!

The audigy cards have audigy written on them, so it might not be one of those. Google whatever is written on it to see if you can come up with any model numbers.

I'm pretty sure that Creative's drivers on vista for older cards completely suck.

A friend says that you might be able to get away with using the compatibility mode with xp drivers, but will be lucky to get anything better than stereo.

I've got an Audigy 2 ZS, and the latest beta drivers FINALLY work properly.
