Came to work this morning and my PC was gone! Turns out my boss scavenged my motherboard to do a low-cost repair on an aging server for a customer. So guess what I'm getting!!!

A Q6600 to go with an Asus P5KPL-VM mobo we have in stock + 4 GB of DDR2 800 MHz RAM! Yeehaa! I know XP Pro won't recognize all the RAM but WTF, it beats the 512 MB of DDR2100 I had, right? I'd rather have a Gigabyte board but beggars can't be choosers. He's also promised me a 150 GB Raptor. (I'll believe that when I see it) but in the meantime I'll have a nice chip to play around with! It's got to be better than the P4 3 GHz I've had.

Should be able to reactivate Windows and keep all my data I've got a lot of irreplaceable stuff on that drive. Don't know when/if I'll get the Raptor.
