Webpages not rendering right...

Post by Sovereign »

Webpages on a coworker's Windows XP SP2 laptop are not rendering right. See the following. It is REALLY obvious on the Windows Update site. Everything but Windows Update was loaded in Firefox 3.0.

I have tried reinstalling FF, Dial-A-Fix #3, clearing temporary files, removing Norton 360 and running the Norton Removal Tool, a Winsock LSP reset and checking the hard drive for errors. I have also run Windows Update. Don't know what the f-ck is wrong with this machine!

Yep! Safe mode is not "safe" from whatever is wrong.

:owned:

I thought that you were going to point out an actual documented FX bug then >_<

Sovereign has already got firefox on there (note the first two screenshots!)

@Sovereign: I honestly don't know of a reason two different browsers would display incorrectly. :-k

Is the connection wired and consistent? Maybe it's not picking up all the webpage properly through the connection.
Either something is messed up on the connection or something is messed up on the laptop.

I say something's wrong with the laptop, as I render the same webpages on my laptop using the same wireless connection and I have no issues at all.

I'm having the same issue on my XP Machine, with FF3, IE7 both. Net connection is fine. Even this board is not displaying right.
Any other suggestions or any or anyone else who has encountered this issues?
Cheers,
N
