Okay so here's my deal.
I'm an idiot and I've been ripping my cds with iTunes for a while, and now i've got about 17+Gb of music that is in HORRIBLE shape, organizationally speaking. albums upon albums by different artists are in one folder, and it's killing me because I'm moving all my music to my external drive and I want to be able to find my music by folder to move to PSP, etc...
So is there a program that will sort all these loose audio files into separate folders by at LEAST artist?
Otherwise, I'm going to be doing a LOT of file-by-file organizing for a long while.

Try Media Monkey. If the tags are correct you can have it rename your files by the tags in what ever format you want. Even f the tags are messed up you can update them with media monkey.
This is how I have it. I ripped all my cds to first a generic genre/artist/album/00 - Filename.
