EVGA 780i, Sound Blaster Audigy SE, Windows XP
This is the second time in a few weeks that this has happened;
While surfing the internet and talking on AIM voice chat my speakers decided to output a very loud static-electric noise. The noise lasts about one second. I think that I had my feet on the surge protector under my desk where all my cords are plugged in, thus, making me think that I may have partially removed a plug or something.
Am I overlooking a hardware problem?
Any suggestions would be great.
Loud disturbing noise from speakers.

Does it do this lots? Or was it just that once?
Did you check afterwards to make sure all the plugs were in properly?

Both times on AIM Voice Chat? If it is, then it could be a problem on either their end, or some audio signals getting scrambled across the net.
