do you think there is any noticable difference? because ive found a KVM (something i need) for 14.99 after MIR that has usb and Dsub. the ones that have USB and DVI are in the hundreds range, plus cables. do you think that is at all worth it?

I would say it depends on the resolution. I don't know though, because I can't tell a difference between VGA and DVI

I haven't really noticed a difference either. Using a 24" LCD @ 1920x1200

It's amazing how cheap you can get the VGA KVM's.
I guess you need a pretty decent monitor to show the benefits of DVI over VGA, they are minimal at best on most monitors.

Yeah well, future expandability and all that. Plus I personally prefer DVI over DSUB.

I believe (could be wrong though) that analog VGA connections might break the HDCP chain (only applicable if you watch protected HD content though).
Otherwise looks like a good deal.

well i hate HDCP in general, this is going to be for an HTPC i plan on building in the near future

one out put will be to a KVM and one out will be HDMI to my reciver. i was planing on using vista but if it gives me HTCP i can always go with mythbuntu or something along those lines
