Partitioning--Refresh my failing memory please

I'm working on a Vaio PC that had a pretty nasty virus infection on which I had to perform a repair install. After I was able to boot the computer, I noticed that the "C" drive only has 16 GB of space which is nearly full. The "D" drive has 99 GB of free space. So I need to resize the C drive.

It's been a long time since I've done this and I'm using a software I've never used before http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

I'm thinking I have to create unallocated space with the "D" Drive then resize the "C" drive using that unallocated space. Is that right?

Any help ASAP is appreciated.

Thanks
Jack

never used it either, but this is from the site link you included;

looks like you can just click/drag and resize for the partition.

Gparted allows click drag resizing. I used it this weekend to resize/partition my gamer's drive to do a Vista dual boot. Works like a charm. Download the ISO, http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=271779 , burn to CD and boot to the disk.

I second the notion on Gparted. Great tool.
