Frustrated at getting eSATA ports to work

Post by Tim Burton »

I need help. I have this dock:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817153071

I tried the USB port, it works fine.

I tried the eSATA port to both the front and the back and I get nothing.

I then tried the eSATA ports with one of my internal HDs. I have a eSATA to SATA cable. When I try that to the front and the back I get nothing. I'm at a loss as to what is wrong.

I have the following set up:

MB: IP35 Pro
CPU Q9450
8 Gigs of RAM
8800 GTS 512MB
Vista 64 Ultimate

I can't figure out what is wrong.

Not familiar with that mobo, but are there any settings in the BIOS to turn on the eSATA ports?
