Just bought the card at best buy for $120. Makes fallout run real nice. I am however concerned about my pcie x16... When i checked the specs using gpu-z it showed in the bus interface: PCI-E x16@x8. Know im guessing thats not a good thing. Does that mean i am running the card at half its power. And why does it start that way? I do have x16.

What's your motherboard make and model?

The performance difference between 8x and 16x isn't as much as you might think, so even if we can't get it to run at 16x then you don't have to worry about it too much.

I had an ECS board that was a x16 slot that would only use x8. It wasn't advertised that way, nor did it say anywhere in plain writing. After running gpuz I found out about it. Then I read the manual and found it. Hidden.... I upgraded my mobo and it made no difference for an 8600gt or a 8800gts 320mb when I put it in and then changed mobos

I have a emachines motherboard model: MS-7093 and chrapic interface states that my link width is x8 and max supported is x16... so what gives? My last card was a x1300 radeon and it was at x16
