Upgrade

my friend is building a computer and wanted to know what would be the best video card for sub $200, and as i'm not sure of the price/performance war in that sector, i'm asking you guys
other specs:
E7300
4GB DDR2 800 dual channel
non SLI/Xfire mobo
17" CRT monitor
games like COD4 & Left4Dead

I personally think the gtx 260 is better. But, it is the core 192. So depends on what company you really want.

what card does he have now? Is he planning to upgrade the monitor any time soon? A 17" CRT at 1280x1024 will be killed by anything approaching $200. I noticed the MSI 9800GT I reviewed last month on sale at newegg for $100 after rebate,

If he had the money he could get a card around $125 and get a good 19" LCD for a bit over $200.

he has a 7800GT from an old system, new monitor...in distant future
