EeePC replacing Linux

hi,
Just wondering if anyone has installed ubuntu on the Eeepc, i noticed it comes with Xandros but i would prefer Ubuntu (or Xbuntu). I have seen a wealth of how to's on the web, but just wondering if anyone has done it.

Using it right now with 8.04, and had it running interpid in the past. What EEE Pc?

Ubuntu EEE is better. eeebuntu in my opinion is hack job

I must have obviously overlooked it somehow. I read every review, regardless of my interest in the product, for information purposes.

Asus EeePC1000 Newegg had it with the 40GB ssd for 399

It was designed for the 900 and 1000s from the ground up, they didn't hack ubuntu to make it work. Works flawlessly and its what I use
