Anyone know of a good mouse?
Anyone know of a good mouse?
Hey, all,
hope you all had a merry christmas
well, i think that my wonderful logitech mx 610 mouse is at the end of its life. Anyway, I would like to know if there is a relatively inexpensive mouse out there that is:
1. reliable
2. wireless
3. priced from 30 75 dollars
4. has a receiver that has a cord that can sit on my desk, or has a great reciever that does not drop out on you
5. either has wonderful battery life or has a recharging station
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tekgek

I love it. I use a trackball when I'm playing some games or just chilling and leaning back. But, when I really need to play like a FPS. That mouse works perfectly. It feels perfect because you can adjust the weight to your comfort.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
With so many different size and shaped mice on the market, no one can definitively tell you which is the best.
Personally, I gave up on wireless years ago for gaming because of the twitch. I'm sure technology has evolved many times over since then, but I still stick with my wired Logitech MX518. Perfect (for me) fit and feel, reliable, and relatively inexpensive ($40 or so).

Avoid a mouse with a ball. Get one with an optical tracker. Best ones are the USB types that can plug into a destop or laptop.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
Thats even better than the g5 by a long shot. Same company, but in another range. I personally like it, but wouldn't pay 100 for it. 40 I would.tekgek wrote:okay, the logitech g5 and g7 are possibilities, but i ran across a sale at best buy that has the 100 dollar mx revolution for 40!. Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
G7 rocks!!! its 73 at newegg but it probably is on sale somewhere or atleast will be some time in the near future.
wireless with 2 battery packs. The thing i really really love about it is the adjustable mouse sensitivity on the mouse itself. It doesnt have that many buttons (only a back button) so if you like lots of buttons, then you wouldnt want the g7. I have had mine for several years now, and it is great!

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
My buddy worked at Circuit City and bought the Revolution when it came out. The factory software was bad enough that he took it back. I have seen alternative software that really improved usefulness, but he wasn't willing to try it. Backordered at bb.com now.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
Best Buy has the Logitech MX Revolution for $39.99 now. This mouse rocks if you do a lot of scrolling plus it is comfy and has some nice features. I have one at work and home.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
okay, i have gone with the mx revolution. I got it for 65 at amazon. If this one breaks in two years, this will be the last mouse i buy from logitech. But, let us hope that this one will last
Thanks for all the advice

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
have you checked if your mx 610 is still under warranty period? logitech is pretty good with warranty.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
seems a lot of the stores are OOS on this. I checked when I posted last night, and only 1 store within 150 miles had it in stock... and driving 200 miles to save $25 doesn't really make any sense.FZ1 wrote:You don't have a best buy nearby? Would have been $25 cheaper.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
No, but the only best buy that had this mouse anywhere near me was auburn, and that is a fairly long distance, and the cost of both deals are probably pretty close to each other, because my car is not that fuel efficient, and it would cost just the same in gas as it would to grab the mouse on amazon for 65.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
I checked the availability for BB and the MX revolution on monday, they were OOS, I went to the store that was OOS and they had about 4 of them.
I definitely picked one up as my razer was really starting to piss me off. I think I am going to stop buying their products.

not sure of the make but i reccomend a roller ball mouse. the ones with the big ball on top as they are best for those with limited space.

Re: Anyone know of a good mouse?
That would be a trackball.
A rollerball mouse would be the type of mouse that was used before laser mice. You know, then one that fills with gunk within 12 minutes from using it.
I could never get into a trackball mouse, it was all backward for me, and it is hard to game with.
