lol sick amounts of tabs. I honestly think the most I've had open legitimately without getting as bored as the OP did is about 20 tabs.

When you have Flash running on a web page, even when the video is not playing, it takes up a big amount of RAM. So if you're concerned about browser mem usuage, try to minimize the pages you keep open with Flash.

when at work, there was probably a two week period where i had 20+ tabs open 24/7, i didnt look at the RAM usage hardly tho...

I think there was an earlier version of firefox that did have a memory leak. My whole pc started going very slowly so I shut all the tabs except for the google homepage and it said Firefox was using over 600MB of RAM. I shut Firefox and opened it back up and everything was great.

I usually have about 20-30 tabs open. Maybe close to 10 are work related, the other 10-20 are messageboard threads. :lol:
